When Tove Interiors was approached by a family of four in Bentleigh, their vision was clear: they wanted a more open and practical living space that would cater to their growing family's needs. Through thoughtful design and creative problem-solving, we were able to transform their home into a luxurious, modern sanctuary.
The existing bathroom was one of the first areas that needed attention. It was small, cramped, and lacked the functionality necessary for a busy family. We set out to completely redesign the space, creating a more open-plan layout that included both practical storage solutions and an indulgentatmosphere.One of the standout features is the spacious, luxurious shower area, which now serves as the focal point of the bathroom. By reconfiguring the layout, we were able to increase the available space, making it not only more comfortable but also much more practical. In addition, we incorporated sleek storage options, ensuring that the bathroom is not only stylish but also functional—offering a perfect blend of beauty and practicality.
In many homes, the laundry room is an afterthought, often squeezed into tight corners with limited storage. For this family, the laundry was no exception. The space was underutilized and lacked the necessary storage for a family of four.To solve this, we reworked the laundry’s layout to maximise storage and improve flow. Custom cabinetry was added for easy access to cleaning supplies and linens, while clever use of vertical space helped store laundry baskets and other essentials.
For the guest bathroom, we took a more refined approach, ensuring the design complemented the sophisticated style of the homeowners. By incorporating elegant materials such as marble, sleek fixtures, and a contemporary colour palette, we elevated the entire space, making it feel welcoming and luxurious without being over-the-top.The result is a bathroom that perfectly balances style with comfort, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests.
One of the biggest changes was to the living room area. Originally, the space felt enclosed and disconnected from the outdoors, which was a missed opportunity for the family to enjoy their backyard and create a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living.
Every room has been carefully designed to meet the practical needs of a growing family, while maintaining a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic. This project was a perfect example of how thoughtful design can completely change the way a home functions, while also enhancing its beauty and comfort. The end result is a space that reflects the family’s lifestyle and supports their needs for years to come.
