As interior design experts, we were absolutely thrilled to be invited to speak at the 2024 Melbourne and Sydney Home Shows—two of the most prominent events in the Australian home design calendar. Being asked to present at these prominent design shows was an exciting opportunity for us to share our expertise, and we were proud to showcase our approach to small-space bathroom design.
Our session, titled “Maximizing Small Spaces to Get the Most Out of Your Bathroom Design,” focused on the growing need for efficient, yet stylish solutions in today’s increasingly compact living environments. Small bathrooms are a common challenge, but they also present a unique opportunity to think creatively and make thoughtful design choices that elevate the entire space.
During both weekends, we were fortunate to pull in some of the largest crowds at the shows. It was incredibly rewarding to engage with such a passionate audience, eager to learn how to transform their small bathrooms into functional and beautiful spaces. Our talk centered on the importance of careful planning, which we believe is the cornerstone of successful small-space design. From selecting the right fixtures to choosing materials that reflect light and create a sense of openness, we emphasised that each design decision plays a crucial role in achieving the best possible outcome.
One of the main takeaways from our presentation was the value of thinking through every choice. Small spaces require deliberate consideration of layout, storage, and design elements. A well-planned design doesn’t just maximise space—it also creates a harmonious, enjoyable environment. Whether it’s through clever storage solutions or strategic placement of mirrors and lighting, the right choices can transform a cramped bathroom into a luxurious retreat.
We absolutely love speaking about interior design and sharing our knowledge with others. The feedback we received at both the Melbourne and Sydney Home Shows was overwhelmingly positive, and we’re already looking forward to the 2025 shows. It’s always exciting to inspire and educate others on how thoughtful design can make a real difference in the way we live and experience our homes.
