Situated just steps away from the beach, this home needed to capture the essence of coastal living while maintaining a sense of refinement. The challenge was to balance a breezy, relaxed vibe with a polished, sophisticated aesthetic. To achieve this, we focused on light, natural materials that evoke the feeling of the seaside—think driftwood tones, soft linens, and an airy openness—while also incorporating luxe elements like stone and custom detailing that elevate the space into something extraordinary.
One of the standout features of this home is the outdoor entertaining area, where the family can host gatherings, relax, and enjoy the fresh ocean air. We designed a stunning kitchen area that opens directly to the outdoors, allowing for a seamless transition between the interior and exterior spaces. The kitchen, with its sleek cabinetry and high-end finishes, is perfectly positioned to take in the views while offering a functional and stylish space for cooking and socialising.To complete the outdoor experience, we crafted a custom firepit area, ideal for cozy evenings under the stars. This space not only serves as a focal point for entertaining but also enhances the home’s relaxed, yet sophisticated coastal feel.
The kitchen is the heart of this home, and we wanted it to be a place that feels both luxurious and inviting. Facing the large open-plan living area, we kept the colour palette simple to let the stunning natural stone surfaces truly shine. The rich, textured stone slabs used for the countertops and backsplash make a bold statement, adding depth and visual interest to the space without overwhelming the serene atmosphere we aimed to create.
For the bathrooms, we embraced a more atmospheric approach, merging coastal elements with a moody, intimate vibe. The deep greens and warm tones create a sense of luxury. Custom-designed vanities, elegant fixtures, and natural textures were carefully selected to strike the perfect balance between beach-inspired design and sophisticated allure. The result is a serene, rejuvenating space that feels both soothing and elegant.
Finally, we wanted to create a statement space in the home that would surprise and delight—enter the underground theatre. In contrast to the light, airy feel of the rest of the home, we chose a darker, moodier palette for this space, transforming it into an immersive environment that enhances the cinematic experience. With plush seating, ambient lighting, and high-end finishes, the theatre feels like an exclusive, intimate retreat—perfect for family movie nights or a quiet escape.
